    Man Ray meets Dux House

    July 21, 2014

With The Blocks new Glass house airing  next Sunday, we were looking back over some old images from Dux House and  noticed that around the period that Dux House was originally being build 1914,  Man  Ray was making exception works of beauty in Photography.

Here at Brenchley Architects we are all a little bit obsessed with Photography as well as  Achitecture,  and we  couldnt help but notice  the simialrities  beween these two images, taken nearly 100 years apart!  Man Ray in 1923  and the stircase in Dux House, part  of The Blocks 2013, conversion of the  picture house/ former church/commercial  offices to 4 x 3 bedroom luxury Appartments in Albert Park.

Share with us on our facebook page,  your  architectural  images that resonate  with another art form.
