Drench yourself in Marsala and Chrome

    August 17, 2015

With a new bathroom on the horizon, Principle Architect at Brenchley Architects,  Julian Brenchley is doing  the hard yards finding the fittings for a bathroom that radiates peace and tranquility, a mini escape from the world, and of course the perfect shower experience. Recognised globally for state-of-the-art showers and tapware, New Zealand's Methven helps people create spaces that fully enrich their day-to-day lives.

Through clever design, Methven enhances the moment of escape that calms the mind and revitalises the body. Team this with a range of contemporary colours such as Chrome, Chrome & White or three 2015 limited edition Pantone colours; Chrome & Marsala, Chrome & Midnight, Chrome & Classic Blue and you are spoiled for choice.

The Pantone colours for 2015, Marsala, Classic Blue and Midnight, become versatile elements that add a layer to your neutral palette, providing  warmth and  flexibitlity to the colourscheme of  your bathroom. Particularly as Marsala’s organic nature adds a layer that works with natural stone and yet adding a sheen conveys a completely different message of glamour and luxury that works with Marbles and beautiful hardwoods such as spotted gum.
Much like the fortified wine that gives Marsala its name, this tasteful hue embodies the satisfying richness of a fulfilling meal while its grounding red-brown roots emanate a sophisticated, natural earthiness. We compiled a little mood board as a starting point to play with natural stone, tiles textures finishes and colours.
Visit the Aio collection page to view the full range of Aio products.   Sometimes it is a little hard to think of  how new tapware with colour will look in situ,  so we created  a few  insprational boards to get you started, using  pallettes  that  are  classics, that will bring joy to your bathing ritual for years to come!
